Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior GCP DevOps Engineer with a strong engineering background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and a deep understanding of software development practices. This individual should be proficient in managing clusters, conducting code reviews, and deploying applications. The role requires hands-on experience in programming and design, along with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently. Responsibilities: Architect, deploy and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on GCP. Collaborate with development teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment. Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and performance standards are met. Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline operational tasks and improve efficiency. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to minimize downtime. Implement best practices for security, compliance, and disaster recovery in cloud environments. Stay updated with the latest GCP technologies and recommend improvements to existing infrastructure. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) for scripting and automation, any Elixir knowledge is a huge plus. Strong understanding of software development principles and methodologies. Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Deployment Manager. Solid grasp of networking concepts and cloud security best practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
