The department provides support worldwide to the Organizations all along the value chain from exploration thru site development to production. What role you will play in our team The Upstream Unconventional Field SCADA teams deliver industry-leading business capabilities and computational sciences to our field production assets through proprietary, commercial-grade software. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of SCADA Engineering, including work planning, requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support. Our office is located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires. What you will do Responsible for working with a team on development and maintenance of Ignition SCADA systems while creating and implementing integrated corporate-driven standard solutions Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to our most challenging upstream unconventional business problems Design, implement, and support on-site Ignition HMI applications as well as business based SCADA applications that integrate with our MQTT infrastructure Work with field teams to design and bring in well site data, salt water disposals, compressor site data, and any field automation into Ignition SCADA systems for alarms, historizing, and display Interface with various customer and support elements including automation, measurement, engineering, production, operations and plant support, and other IT support staff when necessary Help field team members troubleshoot communications, application issues and integrations to Ignition and its related data About you Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Electronic/Industrial Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study Advanced English skills, verbal and written communication Minimum of 5 years developing, deploying, and supporting SCADA and HMI systems Fundamental knowledge of automation control systems, control protocols and networking Proficiency in Python and API development (Ignition APIs, Mulesoft, similar) Experience working with RTUs (ROC, TotalFlow), PLC's and related HMI hardware and their related software (Allen-Bradley, Modicon, GE) IT knowledge of Microsoft’s server operating systems and applications such as MS SQL Server Preferred Qualifications/ Experience Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry Prior work experience with large scale data management systems (Ignition or WonderWare) Edge Computing and Azure cloud knowledge is a must Working knowledge of the Ignition 7.9.x or 8.x platform Understanding of field radio and network communications is beneficial Knowledge of field data capture and production accounting systems MQTT knowledge and experience Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies Your benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
