JOB PURPOSE As a financial specialist, you will provide accurate and data-based information on the company’s profitability, solvency, stability, and liquidity. You will research and analyze financial information to help the company make well-informed decisions, write reports and monitor financial movements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts, etc) taking into account the company’s goals and financial standing Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis Conduct business studies on past, future, and comparative performance and develop forecast models Identify trends, advise the company and recommend actions to a senior financial analyst based on sound analysis Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data Understand stock based comp, Investment programs, crypto-currency and book entries Perform balance sheet reconciliation and flux analysis for balance sheet and P&L Assist with audit and prepare SEC tables for Quarterly filings Perform Cash Flow analysis Handling sensitive information and SOX Compliance Gain and update job knowledge to remain informed about novelty in the field Consult with management to guide and influence long-term and strategic decision-making within the broadest scope Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function JOB QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field. 5+ years of experience in similar positions Strong data analysis skills and ability to use both quantitative and qualitative means to map strategy, decisions, product iterations, and roadmap prioritization back to data Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience working at a startup Thorough and detail-oriented – execute high-quality work and keeps the information up-to-date Flexible and adaptable – can manage change and work comfortably with ambiguity Team player – works well in a collaborative environment Self motivated and self directed. Understanding of US GAAP Accounting principles. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in MS Excel. Being fluent in English and Spanish NetSuite knowledge is a plus.
