Our client is a full-service virtual bookkeeping firm. They provide consistent, accurate online bookkeeping and accounting services while removing the burden of having to manage a part-time bookkeeper. Reports to: Accounting Services Team Manager Summary: The Accounting Specialist is responsible for providing high-level accounting support to multiple clients. The CAS will also be responsible for the client relationship and will be represented as the primary point of contact for the client for any service or quality issues, questions, and concerns. The CAS will support the development of their entire team by behaving as a peer resource for other team members throughout the organization. Working hours: 9 to 5 pm ESTHourly rate: USD 7.18 Responsibilities Complete accounting work as agreed upon in the clients’ contracts (may also require the use of integrating applications). Manage core accounting tasks (bank/cc feeds, monthly bank reconciliations, etc) Perform advanced accounting tasks which may include but are not limited to sales tax returns and payments, inventory reconciliations, month-end closing, 1099 processing, supporting integrations, manual or automated import of financial data from third party platforms, and financial report overview. Create and maintain updated client information and key processes for each client. Act as the primary client contact and relationship manager. Maintain client relationships with all clients in such a way that clients understand that the CAS will be sufficiently knowledgeable of the client’s business activity and is available to assist the client with any matter requiring escalation. Provide additional technical and accounting support to team members throughout Reconciled Requirements: Accounting specialist requires both an advanced Accounting skill set and a customer service skill set Strong organizational skills Proficiency in Reconciled Cloud Accounting Technology (QBO, Xero, Dext, Bill.com, Melio, and related technologies) Strong understanding of accounting best practices Flexibility towards project directional changes High standards for customer satisfaction Comfort with various communication platforms: Phone, Email, Slack, Zoom, etc. Attention to detail Familiarity with multiple business models and accounting best practices Adequate experience in bookkeeping/accounting In addition to the core requirements, the Cloud Accounting Specialist should have a solid understanding and application of GAAP principles. Must possess your own laptop/desktop that meets the following minimum qualifications: Processor: Core i5 or higher RAM: 8GB or higher Must have a reliable internet connection with the following bandwidth requirements: Minimum Download Speed: 6 Mbps Minimum Upload Speed: 5 Mbps A quiet, private place in your home where you can work without background noise and interruption.
